  2. Support Uwatec Infrared interface for Mac

Apple no longer provides driver for Irda, which hinders support of Uwatec computers on Mac. Diveboard plugin should then talk directly to the Uwatec computer though the dongle driver.

  3. Display 'Dive Center' street address (or just town) in drop-down on 'People' tab

On the 'People' tab, when entering a new dive, please can you make the street address (or town) show up in the 'Dive Center' search results alongside the company name and web address. Sometimes there is more than one branch of the same company in different locations and it is impossible to tell them apart at the moment.

  4. surface interval

In case of repetitive diving, say surface interval less than 24 hours, the surface interval time could be stated on the overview tab

  5. Ability to look at dive time for a particular piece of equipment?

As I'm slowly working my way up with my CCR, its an important requirement to log a certain number of hours (and dives) diving at a certain depth, to be able to move on to the next course. It would be great to be able to click on a piece of equipment and it show you:
    a) Number of Hours dived on piece of equipment
With the ability to filter by depth? So I can see,
    I've done 75hrs total,
    50hrs deeper than 20m,
    30hrs deeper than 30m,
5hrs deeper than 50m etc etc

    b) Same for number of dives…

  6. move from facebook login to diveboard login

I would like to be able to both connect my diveboard to facebook and still be able to login to diveboard without logging in to facebook first.

  7. More on buddies

When you add a buddy or guide to the list if the buddy is on diveboard, a dive is created to him/her (linked to yours) with some shared fields (the common fields). (If it is created yet, link each dive!)

  8. 'Add to Timeline' but for a Facebook Page option?

I trying to separate my personal facebook from my professional facebook (page) - but really like the detailed post you get from DiveBoard when you do the above, sharing via the link isn't the same

  9. RSS feed of my dives

RSS feed of my dives - maybe parsed once every few days - in order to automatically post and link back to my public profile. For example:

<title>John just posted a new dive to Diveboard!</title>
<description>Click the link below to check out his latest dive in LOCATION.</description>
    <link>profile link</link>

  10. Offline access to logbook

I would be great to have a way to access your own logbook offline and be able to create/edit new dives when on a trip abroad (without much Internet access).

  12. Embedding the Google Map

I'm currently creating my own website, and instead of building my own map and having to update in two places at once, I could simply add my dive on diveboard, and then it would be available in any site, instead of having to update 2-3 different sources

This would be especially useful to other divers who aren't familiar with HTML and JS, thoughts?

  13. Embedded Videos

I love Diveboard. Just need to say that up front. The functionality is outstanding and it absolutely leaves for dead any of the desktop based log apps. Certainly there's always more detail, fields you could add but the ease of use is outstanding and I look forward to seeing DB grow.

My one suggestion is that I would love to be able to embed a video from a hosting service such as Vimeo, Youtube, BlipTV etc. I video log each of my dives and currently host them as a Vimeo channel. i would love to be able to embed these…

  14. Sort dives by date ascending when uploading from computer

When uploading dives from a computer, the most recent dives are the last ones in the drop down menu.

It would be neat if they are sorted with the newest dives in the top, since they probably are the dives, that needs uploading.

  15. Promoting Diveboard

Diveboard should have banners, logos, buttons, etc... available to users in order to help promote it online! A sort of a fan pack. A more intense community participation should garranty a higher number of divers.
Internal promotion and ads could also be considered.

  16. Improvements to the site

    Hello,
I would suggest you to improve the settings tab.
I say this because there is some information that could be introduced for personal viewing during the trip for diving, since the information can be easily searched on the Internet or in the mobile phone.

    examples:
Certifications - put the number of certificate and allow the download of an image (front and back ) of the card certificate. Also put the center where the certificate is made.

Put also a tab for relevant information on current medication, allergic reactions, contact numbers, emergency numbers.

Finally, put the date of birth and…

  17. map the community

Hi, have just joined Diveboard and find it a great idea. Came upon it when reading some web magazine, DIVE I think it was, and was thinking of writing to Sweden's leading dive magazine, DYK, to suggest they write something about you. But I don't even know how many Swedes are already members! Maybe it is a big thing in Sweden, but I doubt it as almost no dives have been recorded from that country. So my idea is that you could give us a snapshot of the community, maybe in the blog or as a permanent feature something like…

    Hi Pedro,

    thanks for your interest :)
Unfortunately getting this data is not so easy.. as we do not ask any personal info from our divers – some may specify their country of origin but they are certainly not obliged to do so.

What I can tell you though is that out of the 3000 divers currently registered, 18 have declared Sweden as their origin country
those 18 have logged 527 dives

220 dives have been logged in sweden
http://www.diveboard.com/wooflock wins with 210 dives logged (although he did not make any dive public)
second is http://www.diveboard.com/anders.holmberg .. again all 99 dives are private

http://www.diveboard.com/falkens is third with 48 dives – most public this time :)

I’ll try and make a hall of fame page with stats – this sounds like a good idea indeed :) In the meantime I hope this will be enough !

    Alex

  18. Add profile for heart rate monitor

I use Galileo Sol that has a heart rate monitor, it would be grat to add a profile to view these datas.

  19. Easier creation of dive sites

I have coordinates and data about several well know dive sites in Portugal and East Timor. It should be easier to create new dive sites even without creating a dive for it.
I suggest a tab under Dive Manager. User could be able to add more data, comments, discussions, tips, photos, etc.
Statistics about the dive site should be a plus as well (number of divers, max depth, average depth, most recent dive, etc.)
Grading (quality, difficulty, minimum certification, etc.) should also be considered.

I agree. Currently adding spots without creating a dive is a bit tricky. Having some form to do that would definitely make sense.

As for adding more comment, we have planned to add some wiki-like area on each country/region/spot. I believe that should fit the need for extra comments and statistics.

  20. Provide Larger Map for Editing Dive

Great idea to include a map to document the dive site. When viewing a dive entry, the map is a reasonably large view so you can see detail and surrounding areas.
However, when creating or editing a dive entry, the available map is tiny and cramped and very difficult to navigate around.
A larger map in the create/edit view would be good. Even better would be a button / link to popup the map as a big window or even full screen. That would feel a lot more comfortable than working through a keyhole.
Also the ability to interface with…
