Create Space for Group Photos Contributors
My last few dives have been with a bunch of people, many of whom we didn't know, many of whom had cameras. We promised to send or upload the photos somewhere so we could share them and pool our photos of the dives. Very difficult to coordinate as the number of people increases and you have to somehow collect everyone's email addresses etc etc.
It would be great if we could create a shared dive album here for that specific dive (or group of dives = trip) where all those who participated could upload their own photo sets and contribute to the photo pool.
Our own individual dive blog entry then could link to or point to that pool of photos. They could then appear in our blog entry under the photos tab, perhaps above or below personally uploaded non-pool photos.
You might have two different sections under your "photos" tab in your personal blog - one for the group photos, and another for your own personal uploads that you didn't add to the group set.
Setting up the group-share photo album could perhaps be done by any member initially, who could then "invite" other members from the list and perhaps send invitations to others who are not yet members. They could contribute their photos once they created their own login ID. Also be nice if you could browse for group dives to find the one(s) that you were part of, join the group, and upload your photos for the others to view.
As with all collaboration sites, it would be a nice touch to have some kind of "alert" that you could set to let you know when somebody uploads a new photo.
Not sure how you'd moderate the photo set to prevent abuse.

now it's far from easy to create a smooth link between each other's dive ... but definitely gonna be thinking about this
