Upgrade your IOS apps
Dear Diveboard,
I am a big fan of logging my dives through your applications. Although your website is quite complete, the IOS apps could use some improvement. I love my online logbook and I hope you will further develop the ipad/iphone app in the future. Here are some suggestions:
- Make the app more stable and faster in general, the current version crashes regularly.
- Create a dashboard homepage like the website profile page. This would show amount of dives/total time/time per gasmix etc. but also your longest/deepest dives etc. It should also support smart groups to be created by…25 votesDone! first iteration of the new version is in store. Offline mode should be delivered next week. Note that iOS iterations are slower due to the 1week apple approval process…

add a possibility to save certification card images and other documents.
It would be great to have a "certifications page" or some other way to store your Certification Card images and other documents like DAN Membership cards or medical documents etc.
20 votesA “Wallet” has been added to the logbook page. You may store scans of any certifications cards or medical certificate there.
Thanks for your support !

Copy or Duplicate Dive Log for Similar Dives
Enable a particular dive to be duplicated or copied so that all current information is transferred to the new log entry. This will help with entering multiple dives that are very similar.
11 votesNow available on the “SHARE” tab of a dive. You can either duplicate one of your dives or copy someone else’s dive details into your own logbook.
-
Enable mass creation of dives through a "matrix" form or though the upload of XLS or CSV files
I want to log of the dives from my log book, but that seems to be a daunting task with the current capabilities (rich, multi tabs form).
I would like to have either a rich multi-line form, allowing me to enter the main info of each dive in one line or to be able to use upload a spreadsheet
10 votesExcel-like dive create is available on “Bulk upload”/“spreadsheet import”.

List your gear in logbook
Add to your logbook the dive gear you've been using during the dives, and the weights you've been using
9 votesA first version to track the gear used has been added on each dive wizard.
The whole gear owned is displayed along with the “bulk upload”.Don’t hesitate to give feedback if you have improvements in mind !

Mobile App

Possibility to add profile from computer afterwards.

Store pictures on Diveboard
It's a bit of a hassle to uplaod first pics to flickr/picasa/whenever and THEN to link them to Diveboard. Uploading them directly and matching them with the dives according to the exif data would be nice !
Even nicer to apply some basic usual underwater-friendly photo filters to the raw shots...6 votes -
improve print layout
In comparison to the nice look of the site, the print-out layout/design looks is very basic. This really need to improve before I put those pages into my hard copy log book. Also, it would be nice to be able to get at least a few thumbnail pictures included on the printout page.

share a trip/set of dives
Hi
I know you are working on the sharing process ; an idea could be to give the availibility to share a trip (folder) instead of a dive
For example "hey ! you want to see my different dives during this trip ? Go there !" and there, you have got a list/overview of the dives,...What do you think ?
5 votesThe trip page has not been very advertised, but when you click on the trip header on the left pane above the list of dives, it will bring you to a page summarizing the dives in this trip.
E.g. http://www.diveboard.com/pascal/trip/638-miami_key_largo

Enable the customization of the FB share text
The current text displayed when sharing a dive on Facebook is automatically generated (and in English), it would be cool to let users customize it
5 votesThere’s now a share tab and a share button which will let you change the text at will

Copy the dive to my buddies after I choose them for that dive
After I add a dive, that dive could be duplicated with my buddies as they did the same one. They could get the common information (site, time etc)
4 votesIt’s done on the share tab of the dive you wanna copy

use image from dive on Facebook
When I share (brag about ;-) a dive on Facebook, Dievboard does not use my dive picture to illustrate the post. Instead i get a rubbish picture of a map! If a picture has been posted in the dive - use this instead!
3 votesThis is actually a facebook bug which has supposedly been fixed by fb last week :/ is this still happening for you?
-
Dive number
Add dive numbers to dives in logbook like for a regular paper logbook
3 votesAdded to the logbook in production

gear and Weights
I miss a place to list the amount of weights that I carried on the dive.
Furthermore a "deafult gear kit" would be neat. I will use more os less the same kit every time.In the Bulk Dive manager, I would like to select Dive Data to be shown, i.e. depth, bottom time, SAC etc..
3 votesintegrated in tomorrow’s service update

Create "trip" folders
In logbook, "create a new trip" > add dates, hotel details (trip[advisor comments? ), tips and memories, add the dives logged on diveboad and here's a "trip" folder !
Also agregate dives into trip folders automagically, i.e. 3 dives in egypt the same week - that's a trip !2 votes
- Don't see your idea?
